A lifetime in education and philosophy leaves me convinced that our lives are not shaped or determined by what happens to us, but by how we respond to what happens; not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life’s experiences. The people of Dunedin have voiced their present concerns for their city and have made clear the vision they desire; I share these concerns and am certain we can achieve that vision.  A dose of healthy skepticism, a pragmatic bent, and a positive attitude for creative opportunities have marked my life. I look forward to service on the City Commission because I will bring these traits to bear in ensuring we keep the treasure that Dunedin is while we achieve the vision we share for our community….Ron Barnette
